Founded in 1996, Club Italia Soccer Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing San Diego's soccer scene while promoting and preserving Italian culture within the community. Competing in the San Diego County Soccer League, this men's club comprises talented individuals from diverse backgrounds. The Association strives to:
Foster goodwill and camaraderie;
Perpetuate the art form that is soccer;
Nurture the Italian heritage that remains so vital to this community—
welcoming all who wish to share in these endeavors.

The backdrop to a much larger venture, Club Italia is only one aspect of an endeavor to promote Italian cultural activities and events in San Diego. Future expansion of Club Italia will include the addition of affiliated teams in the San Diego County League, youth and women teams, and the establishment of a recreational facility for the community.
